World Environment Day Earth Diorama Activity

Steps to Create this Activity

Assemble the base

Find an old cardboard or corrugated box that you can reuse. This sturdy box will become the main frame and background for your amazing 3D landscape diorama scene.

Create the Sky Backdrop

Measure and cut a sheet of light blue chart paper to perfectly fit the inside base of your box. Securely stick it down using Fevicol Green to create a clear blue sky.

Cut the Scenery Shapes

Use scissors to cut colorful foam, felt, and craft papers into shapes of shrubs, trees, mountains, leaves, and tiny flowers to prepare your beautiful outdoor scenery elements.

Layer Your 3D Landscape

Glue your landscape cutouts inside the box with Fevicol Green. Arrange the green shrubs at the bottom, trees in the middle, and big pointed mountains at the very top.

Craft the Textured Trees

Cut two tall tree shapes from a corrugated sheet. Wrap jute thread tightly to form the trunk and glue green wool at the top to make fluffy leaves using Fevicol Green.

Make the Earth Cutout

Cut a foam outfit, wool hair, and round paper for Earth. Cover the Earth cutout with glue, then sprinkle colourful rangoli sand over it to create vibrant green and blue continents.

Assemble the Little Girl

Glue the shirt, skirt, skin-toned paper hands, and black wool hair together using Fevicol Green. Position her arms so she looks like she is safely hugging the Earth.

Add Final 3D Details

Add soft cotton clouds, a paper moon, pom-pom flowers, and real twigs inside the box. Your wonderful, texture-filled 3D landscape diorama is now completely finished!
