DIY Trinket Holder Box

This DIY trinket tray is a mixed media project where kids can sculpt their very own treasure dish using soft Yudu clay. Children will love the sensory experience of squishing and molding the clay into fun shapes like leaves, hearts, or simple circles. It’s an exciting way to explore 3D art as they turn a flat piece of clay into a useful tray that can hold jewelry, coins, or small stationery. This craft lets them be both an engineer and an artist, resulting in a beautiful piece of functional art they can keep forever!

Prepare Base And Sides

First, take a corrugated sheet and cut it into a square shape to serve as the base of your holder. Next, gather your candy sticks, which will form the walls.

Paint the sticks

Using vibrant YUDU Poster Colours, paint the corrugated base and all the candy sticks. Feel free to mix and match colours to make your design unique and eye-catching.

Construct The Holder

Once the paint is dry, take Fevicol MR and apply it to the edges of the corrugated base. Begin to stick the painted candy sticks in layers, building up the sides to create a 3D box structure.

Mould With Clay

Take your colourful YUDU Magic Clay and create small, decorative shapes. You can make flowers, hearts, stars, or any other geometric design you can imagine.

Decorate The Clay

Apply a small amount of Fevicol MR to your clay shapes and stick them onto the candy stick walls or a lid to add a final decorative touch. Let it all dry.

Final touch

Your beautiful DIY trinket holder is complete and ready to use.
