Steps to Create this Activity

Step - 01
To create a tree lamp, take an upcycled corrugated box measuring A3 size, or create one using corrugated sheet, with the help of paper cutter cut out a small window as shown in the image.
Step - 02
Using Rangeela Tempera Colour brown paint the box with the help of fine art brushes and let it dry.
Step - 03
To create tree mould, take newspaper and roll into spheres as shown in the image.
Step - 04
Take vegetable plastic wrap and wrap it around spheres in such a manner which looks like tree form as shown in the image.
Step - 05
Now apply a thin layer of any body lotion over the structure made. Take some tissue papers and stick it onto the structure using Fevicol MR and let it dry. Make sure to apply 2-3 layers of tissue paper.
Step - 06
Once dried, peel of the structure as shown in the image.
Step - 07
To decorate the tree, you will need plastic bottles in shades of green.
Step - 08
Cut them into fine pieces with the help of scissors.
Step - 09
Using Fevicol MR, stick the plastic cut-outs randomly over the structure made as shown in the image and let it dry.
Step - 10
To create tree trunk, take jute cord, twirl cords as shown in the image. Apply a thin layer of Fevicol MR, so that the twirls remain intact.
Step - 11
Take a sheet of black mount board, draw and cut out a frame with width of 1” approximately. Proportionate to the box made. Using Fevicol MR stick the frame on the box, now stick jute cord in manner of tree truck as shown in the image.
Step - 12
Using Fevicol MR, stick the tree structure onto the box as shown and let it dry.
Step - 13
Now insert battery operated fairy lights through the window made. Your handmade personalised tabletop lamp is ready!
