Ravana with Ten Heads

Make Ravana with ten heads using chart paper, sketch pens, glitter foam, and googly eyes. Kids can cut out and colour each face with different expressions, then glue them together for a fun and educational Dussehra-themed activity.

Steps to Create this Activity

Step -1

Assemble the base - Let’s make a Ravana with ten heads using our best creative skills! Start with taking an empty tissue roll, 2-3 paper straws, coffee stirrer sticks, and two candy sticks. Refer to the image.

Step - 2

Cut the crowns - Take the orange glitter foam sheet and draw ten crowns with pencil. Cut the crowns using scissors. Take the flesh tint paper and draw then faces on it similar to the one in the image. Cut the faces using scissors.

Step - 3

Prepare the sword - Take the silver glitter foam paper and draw the upper part of the sword on it. Take the golden glitter foam sheet, draw and cut the sheet in a circular shape to make the chakram. Stick the two parts of the sword using Fevicol MR. Let it dry.

Step - 4

Join the straws - Take the tissue roll and prick two holes in the upper side. Join the two paper straws using Fevicol MR and then Insert the paper straw into the tissue roll, passing through both holes.

Step - 5

Paint the tissue roll - Take Rangeela Tempera Colours and paint the full tissue roll as the body of the Ravana. Let it dry. Take the Gold Rangeela Tempera Colours and paint the body of Ravana. Let it dry.

Step - 6

Draw the face - Take the ten cutouts of the crowns and stick it on the ten faces of the Ravana. Pick a pencil and draw the faces on each cutout. Write ten evil characteristics of Ravana on each face.

Step - 7

Stick the arms - Take Fevicol MR and stick the two strips as arms on each side of the Ravana. Stick the sword in one hand and chakram in the other

Step - 8

Stick the embellishments - Stick the heads onto the straws, with the biggest face in the center and the smaller heads on the sides. Highlight the moustache and alphabets with Rangeela Tempera Black Colour. Stick the small mirrors and decorative elements to each crown of Ravana using Fevicol MR. Let it dry.
