Gather empty tissue rolls and colorful straws. These materials will help you create fun decorations for your project. Prepare your workspace for a crafty day ahead!

Step - 01

Start by gathering three empty tissue paper rolls and some colorful paper straws.

Transform one tissue roll into a cow by adding straws for legs and cutting out features from white paper. It’s exciting to see your cow taking shape with its cute eyes and ears!

Step - 02

Let’s make the cow first! Take one tissue roll and two paper straws. Cut the straws into four pieces and glue them to the bottom of the tissue roll with Fevistik Power. For the cow’s features, grab some white chart paper, and use the template to draw and cut out the eyes, ears, and nose. For the other two tissue rolls, draw your figurines using the provided template.

Stick on the cow’s features and paint the cow and other figures with bright colours. The painting adds a cheerful touch, and watching the colors dry is a rewarding part of crafting.

Step - 03

Now, use Fevistik Power to stick the cow features onto the tissue roll. Paint the cow and the figurines with Rangeela Tempera Colours using fine art brushes, then let them dry. To make sugarcane, take four paper straws and paint them. For the leaves, draw and cut them out from green chart paper, and glue them to the painted straws with Fevistik Power.

Create a unique background using two A4 rectangles to form an ‘L’ shape. This sturdy base will support your decoration, giving it a place to shine on your tabletop.

Step - 04

To create a background, cut out two A4-sized rectangles from a corrugated sheet. Join them together to make an ‘L’ shape using Fevistik Power and let it dry.

Cover the ‘L’ shape with colourful paper to make it vibrant. The bright colours will bring your decoration to life, making it stand out beautifully against the backdrop.

Step - 05

Cover the ‘L’ shaped structure with colourful chart paper using Fevistik Power and allow it to dry.

A bright assortment of colourful kite paper awaits, ready for creativity. The various colours inspire unique kite designs that will soon take shape in fun and playful ways.

Step - 06

Next, draw and cut out pieces for a house using chart paper, jute sheet, cord, and kite paper, following the template. Glue these pieces onto your background with Fevistik Power, just like in the picture.

Add the final decorations to your structure, giving it the finishing touches. Each element you place adds personality to your decoration, creating a lovely centrepiece for your tabletop.

Step - 07

Now, glue the remaining decorations onto the structure with Fevistik Power. Let everything dry completely. Your beautiful Pongal tabletop decoration is all done! Enjoy your handmade creation!
