Paper Craft Rangoli for Diwali

This adjustable rangoli is perfect for festive occasions, allowing you to create various designs. Gather Your Materials

Step - 01

Collect all materials to prepare the Rangoli like corrugated sheets (for base, yellow, blue), glitter foam sheet (purple), chart papers (yellow, red, pink), various stones (blue, pink, light pink, golden, pink flower for center), and golden lace.

Draw Your Design

Collect all materials to prepare the Rangoli like corrugated sheets (for base, yellow, blue), glitter foam sheet (purple), chart papers (yellow, red, pink), various stones (blue, pink, light pink, golden, pink flower for center), and golden lace.

Cut the Base

Carefully cut out the drawn rangoli shape from the corrugated base using scissors.

Layer the Base

Take the purple glitter foam sheet and yellow chart paper, cut them to the same shape as your corrugated base, and stick them onto the corrugated sheet using Fevicol MR. This will be your primary template.

Add Golden Borders

Attach golden lace with Fevicol MR along the borders of the cutouts to give them a finished look.

Create Diya Layers

On the pink chart paper, draw different layers of diya base. On the yellow corrugated sheet, draw the shape of the flame. Carefully cut out all these diya and flame shapes using scissors.

Assemble the Diya

Stack and stick the diya layers, placing the largest at the bottom and the flame at the center of the top layer using Fevicol MR.

Decorate the Center

Stick the diya cutout onto the purple glitter foam sheet base cutout and then add blue and yellow corrugated cutouts to form a center flower shape on the circular cutout. Decorate these cutouts with golden, pink, and blue stones, and the center flower stone, using Fevicol MR. Let them dry.

Repeat for All Cutouts

Create multiple cutouts and decorate them in a similar fashion. The number of units will depend on the overall rangoli design you want to create (e.g., 6-8 units for a circular pattern.

Arrange Your Rangoli

Once all pieces are dry, arrange them to form your festive rangoli. Its adjustable nature allows you to rotate and rearrange the pieces to create different designs.
