Painted Umbrella Craft

This monsoon, paint your customised umbrella using stencil technique

Steps to Create this Activity

Step - 01

Take a bowl and make water consistency by adding less colour and more water for the splash effect.

Step - 02

Put some blobs of paint on the umbrella surface and using a straw blow the paint in all directions to get random splash patterns. Leave it to dry.

Step - 03

For the stencil, take an A4 sized paper and draw a frog as seen.

Step - 04

Trace the design on an OHP sheet by keeping the drawing below the OHP and redraw it using a fine marker.

Step - 05

Cut the stencil finely using a paper cutter.

Step - 06

Now place the stencil on the umbrella surface and sponge the design in bright acrylic colour of your choice.

Step - 07

Outline the design using black colour. Leave it to dry.

Step - 08

You can create different design stencils in the similar way to create an unique umbrella.
