Prepare the circles

Take the thick white card sheet. Use a compass or a circular object to draw and cut around 12 to 15 circles, each with a diameter of 12 cm.

Paint the circles

Using Rangeela Tempera Metallic Colours, paint all the circles with vibrant colours.

Fold the circles

Once dry, fold them into a semicircle and then fold them again to get the conical shape.

Assemble the base

Take the painted conical shapes and apply Fevicol Glue Drops along one side of a folded edge. Press another folded cone of the same size as it. Continue this origami pattern and stick all conical circles together.

Create the flame

Take a separate sheet and cut it into a flame shape and paint it with Rangeela Tempera Metallic Colours.

Final Look

Apply a small amount of glue to the base of the painted flame cutout. Stick the flame in the center of the assembled paper diya base. Your festive origami style paper diya for Diwali is ready for display!
