Create the Rangoli Base

Take a large, corrugated sheet. Draw a large circle on it to serve as the base for your rangoli. Use a pair of scissors or a craft knife to carefully cut out the circular shape.

Paint the Base

Select green paint from the Fevicryl Carnival Pack and paint the base.

Craft Flowers

Wrap the wool around the rectangular object 10-15 times. Tie a tight knot in the center with another thread. Chop the looped ends of the wool bundle. Create 10-12 orange marigold flowers.

Create Crepe Paper Roses

Take one strip and begin to twist and roll it tightly from one end. Continue twisting the paper and wrapping it around the center. Secure the end with Fevicol MR. Make 8 to 10 flowers.

Model Clay Leaves

Take Fevicryl Mouldit resin and hardener. Mix them to make an even dough. Roll the dough to press a real leaf. Cut out the leaf shapes. Paint these cutouts using Fevicryl Carnival Pack.

Assemble the Final Rangoli

Take your dried green circular base. Begin arranging all the elements you have created. Once done, use Fevicol MR to stick each piece firmly onto the base.

Your magnificent mixed-media Onam rangoli is complete!
