My Identity Portrait Activity for Class 4 - Activity Single - FeviCreate
My Identity Portrait
Every person has a unique story to tell. This project helps students explore and celebrate their identity by designing a painted portrait that shows not just their face, but also the special things they love, believe, and dream about, captured forever on a tote bag.

1. Look at Yourself
Give each student a mirror to observe their face. Ask guiding questions such as: “What shape is your face?” “What makes your features unique?” “What kind of hair do you have?"
2. Sketch Your Face (Lightly)
Using a pencil, students should lightly sketch their face directly on the tote bag. It should be in the center of the bag. Include: eyes, nose, mouth and hair.
3. Add Your Favourite Things
Ask students to think about the song “These Are A Few Of My Favourite Things.” Encourage them to draw objects, animals, foods, colours or patterns that they feel represent them.
4. Add Colour and Detail
Use YUDU Poster Colours to bring the portrait and their favourite things to life. Ask them to choose bold colours that reflect their personality. Add patterns, shading, or a colourful background for effect.
5. Include a Cultural Touch
Students can include a flag, symbol or an item from their heritage to make the tote bag even more meaningful and personal.
6. Finish and Protect
Once the paint is dry, use YUDU Brush Pens in a darker shade to outline details for extra definition.
7. Name and Celebrate the Artwork
Students can write their name or title the bag “This is Me” or “Favourite Things Tote.” Display all tote bags in class before students take them home to use.
