Cardboard Sheet Used for Making Trinket Box Craft

Step - 01

To create a trinket base, take an A4 size corrugated sheet.

Oval Shape Cutout Made of Cardboard Sheet

Step - 02

Draw and cut an oval shape out of it.

Cover the base, with a corrugated strip with width 4” approx. And stick it on the edge using Fevicol A+.

Black Chart Paper Stuck to Box With Glue

Take a black chart paper and cover the sides using Fevicol A+ as shown in the image.

Dome Shape Made of Newspapers

Step - 05

To create the lid, take some newspapers and create a dome-like structure in an oval shape (same size as the trinket). Now wrap a plastic around it using Fevicol Glue Drops.

Tissue Mache Paste Made in a Bowl

Step - 06

To create the trinket lid, we have to make tissue mâché. Take a bowl and add pieces of some tissue papers in it, some water and Fevicol A+. Mix it well until it becomes like dough. Make sure the tissue paper mâché is fine enough, as shown in the image.

Mache Paste Applied on the Oval Box

Apply a layer over the oval structure made and let it dry.

Oval Shell Painted With Rangeela Colours

Step - 08

Once dried, peel off the structure. Using Rangeela Tempera Colour, paint the structure with Fine Art brushes and let it dry.

Tortoise Scales Drawn on 4 Chart Papers

Step - 09

To create tortoise scales, take brown coloured shades of chart papers. Referring to the template given, draw the diagram with a pencil.

Cutouts Made of Chart Papers

Cut them with scissors.

Cutouts Stuck on Another With Glue

Using Fevicol A+, stick the cut-outs in a descending manner as shown and let it dry.

Tortoise Shell Created  With Oval Shape

Step - 12

Following the same procedure. Create the tortoise shell, stick it over the oval structure and let it dry.
