Steps to Create this Activity

Chart Paper Mache for Diya Craft Activity

Step - 01

Use colorued chart paper to create paper diya craft

Now soak the pieces in water

Step - 02

Soak the pieces in water.

Chart paper soaked in Fevicol MR

Step - 03

Squeeze out the excess water and add some Fevicol MR & mix it well until it turns out like dough.

Take terracotta diya and wrap a plastic around

Step - 04

Take terracotta diya & wrap a plastic around it as shown.

Now apply a layer of chart paper mache

Step - 05

Apply a layer of chart paper mache and let it dry.

Let it dry completely

Step - 06

Make sure to let it dry completely.

Now Peel off the layer from the DIY handmade diya

Step - 07

Once dried, peel off the layer from the diya. With the help of pencil draw motifs of your choice or can refer to the image.

Use Fevicryl neon 3D outliners to outline the motifs and let it dry

Step - 08

Using Fevicryl Neon 3D Outliners of your choice, outline the motifs as shown & let it dry.

Follow same procedure and create multi coloured diyas

Step - 09

Following the same procedure, you can create multi coloured diyas with different patterns & designs.
