Paper Mache Craft Using Chart Paper

Step - 01

Use colorued chart paper to create paper diya craft

Soaking Chart Paper in Water to Make Paper Mache Pulp

Step - 02

Soak the pieces in water.

Soak Paper Mache Pulp in Fevicol and Mix Well

Step - 03

Squeeze out the excess water and add some Fevicol MR & mix it well until it turns out like dough.

Wrap Terracotta Diya with Plastic For Base

Step - 04

Take terracotta diya & wrap a plastic around it as shown.

Apply Fevicol on the Plastic and Stick Paper Mache Pulp

Step - 05

Apply a layer of chart paper mache and let it dry.

Peel Off Extra After Paper Mache Pulp Is Dried

Step - 06

Make sure to let it dry completely.

Start Painting on the Diya With Your Choice of Design

Step - 07

Once dried, peel off the layer from the diya. With the help of pencil draw motifs of your choice or can refer to the image.

Paint Terracotta Diya using Fevicryl Outliner

Step - 08

Using Fevicryl Neon 3D Outliners of your choice, outline the motifs as shown & let it dry.
