Step - 01

To make Paper Mache pulp, take newspapers and cut them into small pieces. Now take a bowl and make a mixture of newspaper pieces and approx 2 bottles of Fevicol MR. Make sure to mix it well until you get a thick glue-like consistency as shown. Now keep the mixture for 24 hours for the pulp to form properly.

Step - 02

To create Krishna's Face, take some paper Mache pulp roll into a plumb circle as shown with the help of your hands now to create his features I.e., eyes, eyebrows, mouth and forehead tilak take some pulp roll into a thin coil, with the help of paper cutter cut out tiny pieces make sure tiny coils are proportionate to the face made following the image create forms as shown.

Step - 03

Using Fevicol MR, stick the features onto the face as shown and let it dry. To create Krishna’s hair, take some pulp, roll it into thick coils and stick it overhead as shown. Make sure to create strokes on the hair with the help of a barbeque stick once it's semi-dried. To create a Krishna feather, take some paper mache, create a slab with the help of a rolling pin or flatten it with the help of your hand. Using a barbeque stick create a leaf-like shape now insert a small barbeque stick in the centre as shown and let it dry.

Step - 04

To create a structure for the torso, take some paper mache pulp & create a rectangular shape. Make sure it's proportionate to the face. Now insert 2 tiny pieces of barbeque stick as shown. Further, take some more pulp and plumb a rectangular shape as shown. To create a piece of jewellery onto a torso, place the pulp in a relief manner as shown and once it's semi-dried you can create a pattern of your choice.

Step - 05

Attach the torso to the lower base with the help of a barbeque stick. Similarly, create thick coils to create hands and feet. Attach them to the barbeque stick. Make sure features made are created proportionality as shown in the image. Now apply an every layer of Fevicol MR to the whole structure with the help of fine art brushes and let it dry thoroughly.

Step - 06

Once dried, take an upcycled coconut shell available to make sure it fits the structure made.

Step - 07

Using Fevicryl Acrylic White Colour, paint the structure with the help of fine art brushes and let it dry.

Step - 08

Using Rangeela Tempera Colour of your choice paint the structure with the help of fine art brushes and let it dry. For better finishing apply approx. 2 layers of colour.

Step - 09

Using Fevicol MR, decorate the coconut shell using ornamental stones and decorative cords.

Step - 10

The Handmade Krishna trinket is ready!
