Janmashtami Jhoola

Procure the base

Step - 01

We will make a Jhoola for Krishna Janmashtami. Take an A-4 size Corrugated sheet and 5 paper straws.

Paint the base

Step - 02

Take Rangeela Tempera Colours and paint the corrugated base and paper straws with red colour. Let it dry. Refer to the image.

Prepare the chair

Step - 03

Take corrugated sheet and cut a rectangle shape and an arch for the chair. Paint it red using Rangeela Tempera Colours. Let it dry. Refer to the image.

Wrap the foil

Step - 04

Take the silver foil paper and wrap around five straws and stick on the borders of the base of the jhoola using Fevicol MR. Refer to the image.

Prepare the cushion

Step - 05

Take silver foil paper and form the cushion equal size with silver foil paper. Stick it on both sides horizontally using Fevicol MR. Refer to the image. Stick sequence and silver thread on the chair and stick it using Feviocol MR. Let it dry. Refer to the image.

Construct the poles

Step - 06

Take all the four paper straws and stick them on 4 sides of the base of the corrugated sheet using Fevicol MR.

Tie the threads

Step - 07

Take a silver thread and insert inside the jhoola and take out through it and tie the knots. Decorate the chair with stones and pearls using Fevicol MR. Refer to the image.

Add finishing touches

Step - 08

Stick the fifth paper straw from one end of the pole to another horizontally. Hang the chair with the silver thread on the horizontal bar. Keep the thread loose to move the jhoola to and fro. Place Lord Krishna in the center of the jhoola. You can also stick it if you want.
