Steps to Create this Activity

Procure Your Pot

Step - 01

Begin by getting your main canvas a terracotta pot. This sturdy pot will be transformed into a beautiful Janmashtami Pot.

Paint Your Base Colours

Step - 02

First, paint the entire pot with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour White 27 and let it dry. Next, paint the main body of the pot with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Mauve 18. Then, paint the pot's rim with Fevicryl Acrylic Neon Pink 018. Ensure all layers dry completely.

Collect Decorative Sheets

Step - 03

Gather all your colorful sheets for decoration! You'll need a pink glitter foam sheet, blue glitter foam sheet, jute sheet, and yellow foam sheet. These will be cut into our lovely embellishments.

Prepare Cutouts

Step - 04

From the pink glitter foam, cut out several flower shapes. Cut small, tiny heart shapes from the yellow foam sheet using Scissors. Also, gather your stones, ball chain, decorative stones, assorted mirrors, golden jute chord, and half-cut pearls.

Decorate the Pots Rim & Top Edge

Step - 05

Stick a strip of blue glitter foam just below the pink rim. Below that, add a decorative band of golden glitter foam (or gold cord/lace) using Fevicol MR. Continue by sticking small jute sheet squares in a pretty pattern around this top section.

Adorn the Pot

Step - 06

Now, stick your pink glitter foam flower shapes onto the mauve-painted pot, arranging them beautifully. Place a tiny yellow foam heart in the center of each flower. Add more sparkle by sticking ball chains, mirrors, and half-cut pearls around the flowers and on the pot's bottom edge.

Final Touches

For extra detail, use Fevicryl 3D Outliner Glitter Gold to draw patterns, outlines, or dots on the pot. Secure all embellishments with Fevicol MR. Your magnificent, decorated Matka Pot is now ready to be a shining centerpiece for Janmashtami.
