Step - 01

To make Paper Mache pulp, take newspapers and cut them into small pieces. Now take a bowl and make a mixture of newspaper pieces, Fevicol A+ and some water. Make sure to mix it well until you get thick glue-like consistency as shown. Now keep the mixture for 24 hours for pulp to form properly.

Step - 02

Once the pulp is made, create a rectangular slab and let it dry. Make sure to use the pulp properly while creating slab because it shall shrink than the actual size once dried.

Step - 03

Similarly, create a word “INDIA” using paper mache and let it dry. Make sure each letters made are proportionate to each other and fits into the slab made.

Step - 04

Once structure is made& completely dried up, dab it using Fevicryl Acrylic Colour White with the help of sponge and let it dry.

Step - 05

Paint the slab and letters using Tri colour Rangeela Tempera shades and let it dry. Make sure to merge the paint onto slab use sponge to get better effect.

Step - 06

Using Rangeela Tempera Colour of your choice, doddle Indian forms and patterns on each letter with the help of fine art brushes and let it dry.

Step - 07

Using Fevicol A+, stick the letters onto the slab as shown and let it dry. Handmade paper weight on Independence theme is ready!
