Independence Day by crafting a tricolour kite badge bookmark using mount board, Fevicryl acrylics, and cobbler cord. Fun and creative, it enhances motor skills and lets kids aged 6–8 showcase their patriotic spirit.

Steps to Create this Activity

Step - 01

To create badge for Independence Day, take sheet of mount board, draw a kite with height of 3” approx. With the help of scale and pencil and draw line patterns inside the structure of kite made as shown.

Step - 02

Using Fevicryl Acrylic tri Colours paint the lines with the help of fine art brushes and let it dry. Now using felt pen give an outline to kite.

Step - 03

To enhance your badge, make kite strings, take cobbler cord or any cord available create buntings around strings using coloured chart paper of your choice and stick it using Fevicol A+.

Step - 04

Using Fevicol A+, stick strings to kite as shown and let it dry

Step - 05

To create bookmark holder from the kit, take a piece of chart paper, draw and cut equilateral triangle with flaps made on both sides as shown

Step - 06

Using Fevicol A+, stick bookmark holder as shown and let it dry

Step - 07

To create badge holder, using Fevicol A+, create a loop made from chart paper and insert a safety pin through it as shown.

Step - 08

Personalised Independence Day badge is ready! After flaunting your badge on Independence day you can use it as a bookmark as well.
