Jute Pouch Craft for Kindergarteners

Steps to Create this Activity

Step - 01

To make an Independence Day pouch with the national tricolours, take a sheet of jute and make a 3 fold just like an envelope fold.

Step - 02

Make markings on the folded areas.

Step - 03

Open out the jute sheet. Using a masking tape make a chakra on the front portion of the jute sheet (pouch). Do this on both the sides of the jute sheet (pouch).

Step - 04

Start sponge dabbing on the exposed areas in the colours of our tricolours, thereby depicting our national flag, once the colours have dried remove the masking tape, you will see the effect as seen in the image.

Step - 05

Using an embroidery needle and thread stitch to form a pouch.

Step - 06

Lastly, stick velcro on the front flap using Fabric Glue.
