Flag Hoisting Card Craft

Create a unique card for Independence Day (Swatantrata Diwas) where the National Flag can be manually 'hoisted' up and down using a golden thread mechanism.

Steps to Create this Activity

Prepare the Elements

Take a thick white sheet and cut it into the desired card size.

Draw and paint

Draw the tricolour flag and its pedestal. Use Rangeela Tempera Pastel Colours to paint the drawn flag with tricolours. Paint the pedestal/pole stand. Paint the greeting स्वतंत्रता दिवस as well.

Cut the base

Use scissors to cut out the painted flag and pedestal shapes.

Thread the Mechanism

Take the main white card base, prick holes in a straight line. Insert the thread from bottom to top. The thread should run vertically on the face of the card, acting as the flagpole.

Assemble and Finalize

Apply Fevicol MR to the back of the tricolour flag to stick it onto the golden thread. Stick the pedestal at the bottom. Your Flag Hoisting Card is complete!
