Steps to Create this Activity

Step –1

Assemble the base - Let us make a unique lantern for Dussehra. Take 4 pieces of thick tissue paper.

Step-2

Paint the tissue paper - Take Rangeela Tempera Colours and paint the 4 thick tissue papers and paint them in 2-3 different shades like pink, blue, orange and red. Let it dry for a while. Trace the bow and arrows on the painted sheet.

Step –3

Paint the bow & arrow - Take the Black Colour and paint brushes to paint them as silhouettes using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours. Let it dry.

Step –4

Stick the candy sticks - Take the thick candy sticks and stick them on the borders of the tissue paper with Fevicol MR. Let it dry.

Step –5

Join the four sides of the lantern - Take the four-tissue paper and apply Fevicol MR on the edges of the candy sticks and adjoin all the four candy sticks together to make it a square box.

Step –6

Add the finishing touches - Take orange coloured wool, cut it and make four tassels to stick on the lower four edges of the lantern. Take four long threads and attach it with Fevicol MR to the upper four corners of the lantern to hang it.
