Steps to Create this Activity

Step - 01
To create chhau mask, take a coconut shell & some tissue paper.
Step - 02
Using Fevicol MR, cover the coconut shell with tissue paper as shown and let it dry. Make sure to apply two layers.
Step - 03
To create the headgear and holder, take a corrugated sheet and draw the diagram of the headgear and holder, referring to the given template.
Step - 04
Cut them with scissors.
Step - 05
Using Fevicol MR, assemble the cutouts as shown over coconut shell & let it dry.
Step - 06
To decorate the head gear, collect material like coloured ball chains, coloured beads, coloured sequins, coloured half pearls, synthetic flower, pipe cleaners.
Step - 07
Referring to the template given draw the features onto coconut shell. Using Fevicol MR, decorate the headgear in a circular band manner as shown in the image and let it dry.
Step - 08
Following the same procedure, complete the headgear with decorative material and let it dry. Using Rangeela Tempera Color of your choice, paint the figurine as shown with the help of fine art brushes.
Step - 09
Using Rangeela Tempera Colour, paint the features, i.e., eyes, nose, mouth, and other details as shown, and let it dry. Using Fevicol MR, assemble the holder in a triangular structure.
Step - 10
Using Fevicol MR, stick the holder behind and let it dry. Your handmade Chhau mask is ready!
