Step - 01
Take a corrugated sheet. Draw geometrical shapes like a semi-circle for the upper body and a rectangle for the lower body for the idol's body base using a pencil.

Step - 02
Cut the geometric shapes out with scissors.

Step - 03
Stick the violet felt sheet over the cut-out corrugated body shapes using Fevicol MR.

Step - 04
Take plain white paper to draw the face and other elements of the ideal.

Step - 05
Use a pencil to draw the face of the idol, including eyes, nose, mouth, and any other structural details like hair or crown elements.

Step - 06
Paint these drawn parts with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours, Fevicryl Pastel Acrylic Colours and Fevicryl Pearl Metallic Colours bringing the face and other features to life.

Step - 07
Gather all your decorative materials: a small piece of yellow brocade fabric, white card paper, thin and broad candy sticks, ball chain, assorted ornamental stones and sequins, wool, golden lace, and Fevicryl 3D Outliner Gold.

Step - 08
Stick the brocade fabric onto the body base to form the saree. Use white card paper to create the crown structure, then embellish it with golden lace, ball chain, ornamental stones, and sequins. Use Fevicryl 3D Outliner Gold for intricate designs.

Step - 09
Take the candy sticks and craft miniature weapons or symbols associated with Durga, such as a sword, trident (trishul), and chakra. You can paint them golden or decorate them with small stones.

Step - 10
Stick the broad candy sticks as arms extending from the idol's body. Then, stick all the crafted candy stick weapons/symbols into her hands on both sides.

Step - 11
Take a corrugated box of a medium size. Pick a cutter or scissors and prick a cut in the center to insert the idol in it for support.

Step - 12
Cover the entire corrugated base with gold foil paper using Fevicol MR. This gives a neat and festive finish to the reverse side of the idol.

Step - 13
Securely stick and insert any necessary candy sticks or support structures into the back of the idol to provide stability. This is how the back of the idol will look.

Step - 14
Your Durga Maa idol is now ready for display on the festive day!
