Steps to Create this Activity

Create the Flower Prints

Blow up a plastic bag like a balloon, dip it into colours from the Lilac Kit Set of 6, and press it onto the white chart paper several times to create colourful flower impressions. Allow the paint to dry completely.

Make the Flower Cut-outs

Draw flower outlines over the printed designs and carefully cut out each flower. Stick every flower onto a corrugated sheet using Fevicol Glue Drops, then trim around the edges to create sturdy flower embellishments.

Prepare the Paper Decorations

Fold green chart paper into leaf shapes and pink chart paper into fan-shaped tassels. Cut and layer colourful chart paper squares to make decorative hanging accents.

Arrange the Toran

Cut a piece of wool thread to the desired length and arrange the flowers, folded leaves, layered squares, and tassels along the thread before sticking them in place.

Stick the Flowers and Leaves

Attach the flower embellishments and folded paper leaves onto the wool thread using Fevicol Glue Drops, leaving even spacing between each decoration. Stick the layered paper squares and paper tassels to both ends of the wool thread using Fevicol Glue Drops to complete the festive border.

Finish the Toran

Allow all the decorations to dry completely before hanging the toran on a wall or doorway. Your colourful Holi wall hanging is now ready to brighten your celebrations.
