DIY Mother’s Day Card Craft Activity For Kids

Steps to Create this Activity

Step - 01

To create Mother’s Day Card, take a corrugated sheet, draw and cut out a circle referring to the template given.

Step - 02

Using Rangeela Tempera Colour of your choice paint the circle with the help of fine art brushes.

Step - 03

To create marble effect slab, take Rangeela Creative Clay strips of your choice, roll it into coils and place it on one another, now twirl the coils, stretch it again and twirl it more. Using a rolling pin, roll it into a slab creating a marble effect. Draw and cut out a circle same size as corrugated structure with help of clay tool or paper cutter.

Step - 04

To create child’s hand, take sheet of file card, draw and cut the diagram referring to the template given. To create marble effect, use Rangeela creative clay of your choice following the same procedure as above. Draw and cut out a hand with help of clay tool or paper cutter. Using Fevicol A+ stick it onto the file card structure and let it dry.

Step - 05

To create stirring movement, take a piece of straw cut it measuring 1” approx. Now with the help of quilling strips create coils as shown and seal the edges using Fevicol A+. Make sure the hollow space in between coils is equal to the size straw mouth.

Step - 06

Referring to the template given, trace mum’s hand contour onto the clay slab and cut it with the help of clay tool or paper cutter. Now poke hole onto mount board structure , make sure a straw can pass through as shown in the image. Using Fevicol A+ stick the bigger coil onto the child’s hand.

Step - 07

Using Fevicol A+, stick the clay cut-out onto the mount board and let it dry. Now Using Rangeela Tempera Colour of your choice write text “I LOVE YOU “.

Step - 08

Now insert the straw through the hole of mount board structure and lock it with the small coil below using Fevicol A+. Similarly, stick child’s hand too onto the straw above and let it dry. Make sure child’s hand has stirring movement. Personalised handmade card is ready!
