Step - 01

To create Japi hat, take a corrugated sheet referring to the template given. Draw the diagram using a pencil. With a paper cutter, cut out the circle in the centre.

To create a conical structure on the hat, take a corrugated sheet and draw and cut the diagram referring to the template given.

Step - 04

Cut them with scissors. Using Fevicol A+, stick the edges forming a conical structure as shown in the image.

To create elements on Japi hat, you will need 3 coloured felt sheets i.e., green, blue and red. Referring to the template given, draw the diagram with a scale and felt pen.

Cut them with scissors. Similarly follow the same procedure for the other coloured felt sheets.

Step - 07

To add a border to the cut-outs, you will need fabric lace of your choice.

Step - 08

Using Fevicol A+, stick fabric lace on the sides of the triangle as shown.

To cover the conical structure of the hat, take a felt sheet and draw the diagram referring to the template given.

Step - 10

Cut them with scissors. Using Fevicol A+, stick the edges forming a conical structure and attach the lace as shown.

Assemble the corrugated cut-outs as shown using Fevicol A+. Now paint the hat using Fevicryl Acrylic Gold Colour with Fine Art brushes and let it dry. Assemble the rest of the cut-outs as shown. To enhance further, stick embellishments and let it dry. Your handmade Japi hat is ready!
