Steps to Create this Activity

Step - 01

Take a corrugated box. Draw and cut the outlines of four circles measuring 3” in diameter. Draw few motifs like a ladybird, bird, butterfly and snail on it to make the fridge magnets.

Step - 02

We are going to make two of our motifs with little Shilpkar to give an embossed effect. Take Shilpkar resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make even dough.

Step - 03

Take the ball of dough and shape it accordingly to create the shell of the snail and the body of the ladybird on the corrugated circles. Create the details like the dots on the body of the ladybird and the figures of the shell using clay carving tool.

Step - 04

Paint the motifs using Acrylic Colours - Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Orange 17, Pink 18, Violet 25, White 27, Cerulean Blue 32 and Leaf Green 62. Leave it to dry.

Step - 05

Take the Shilpkar resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make even dough. Mix Acrylic Colour - Black 02 into the ready dough.

Step - 06

Take the black ball of dough, roll it further to make even coils. Border each fridge magnet using the black coils in a neat manner.

Step - 07

Stick the magnets from the rear side of the painted motifs using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.
