DIY DOOR KNOCKER

Let's Fevicreate vintage door knocker using the paper mache technique which can blend into your home decor and look unique.

Steps to Create this Activity

Step - 01

To create the door knocker, create a design as shown referring to template given.

Step - 02

To make papier mache pulp, take a bowl and make a mixture of newspaper pieces and Fevicol A+, make sure to mix it well until you get thick glue-like consistency. Add bit of water if it's too thick. To get proper result keep the mixture for 24 hrs approx.

Step - 03

Now place an ohp over the design made and stick edges with paper tape. Now start forming shape of features as shown and place it.

Step - 04

Once semi dried add another layer to give proper finish. Make sure to create relief like structure. And let it dry

Step - 05

Once dried peel it off from ohp sheet and keep for drying.

Step - 06

Using Fevicryl Acrylic colour of your choice paint it making it look vintage. Handmade door knocker is ready!
