Channapatna Stacking Ring Craft with Tissue Paper Mache

Step - 01

To create stacker rings, create tissue paper mâché. Take a bowl, add pieces of some tissue papers in it, some water and Fevicol A+. Mix it well until it becomes like dough. (Image Alt Tag: Tissue Paper Mache is Used for Making Channapatna Toy )

Step - 02

To create the base for stacker rings, take a corrugated sheet. Draw and cut out a circle measuring 5” diameter. (Image Alt Tag: Cardboard Sheet Cut Into Circle )

To create a conical structure, take a sheet of box board. Draw and cut out a square measuring 9” approximately and roll into a conical structure with your hands. Stick the edges using Fevicol A+ and let it dry. (Image Alt Tag: Box Sheet Board Rolled Into Conical Form )

Step - 04

Using Fevicol A+, stick the conical structure onto the base and let it dry. Using Rangeela Tempera Colours of your choice, paint the stacker ring holder with Fine Art brushes and let it dry. (Image Alt Tag: Elements Stuck Together With Glue )

Step - 05

Using tissue paper mâché, create stacker rings in descending sizes as shown in the image. Make sure the thickness of the rings is uniform. Let them dry. Once dried, stack the rings to the conical structure create a joker face, take some tissue mâché, roll it into a sphere, and insert it on the conical structure to get a proportionate figurine face. Step - 06

Using Rangeela Tempera Colours of your choice, paint the stacker ring holder and the features of joker’s face i.e., eyebrows, eyes, cheeks, and mouth as shown with Fine Art brushes and let it dry. (Image Alt Tag: Rings Are Given Different Colour )

Step - 07
