DIY 3D Card Making Craft Activity with Cardboard

Step - 01

To create 3D card, take an upcycled box available, now take out some comic prints or cut outs from your comic book.

Step - 02

Using Fevicol MR, stick the cut outs covering the inwards as shown.

To create elements inside the box, choose theme of your choice. Here we have chosen the theme of a superhero. To create the elements I.e., buildings, superhero features, dialogue box and star, take coloured chart papers of your choice and draw the elements referring to the template given.

Now cut the shapes with scissors.

Assemble the elements of the superhero using Fevicol MR and let it dry. Now take any picture of your sibling and contour cut out it as shown.

Using Fevicol MR, stick the picture as shown and let it dry.

To create depth into the elements made, take larger building cut out now fold a flap below as shown with the help of scale and hand

Using Fevicol MR, stick it to inside edge as shown and let it dry.

Now to create a relief like effect, take a small piece of corrugatedpiece  as shown.

Using Fevicol MR, stick the corrugated cut out behind the chart paper and let it dry.

Following the same procedure, fold flaps for rest of the buildings as shown.

Using Fevicol MR, stick cut outs of buildings as shown and let it dry.

Step - 13

To create relief effect, follow the same procedure while sticking cape too.

Step - 14

Using Felt pen, write text on dialogue box cut outs like “BOOM, POW “etc.

Step - 15

Using Fevicol MR, stick the rest of the elements as shown and let it dry. Using Rangeela Tempera Colour paint the outer side of the box with the help of fine art brushes and let it dry. Handmade 3D card is ready for gifting to your siblings on Raksha Bandhan.
