Create colourful miniature Christmas trees using Fevicryl Mouldit and decorate them with bright festive patterns. This activity introduces children to clay modelling while encouraging creativity, colour exploration, and festive décor making.

Steps to Create this Activity

Prepare the Clay

Mix the resin and hardener of Fevicryl Mouldit thoroughly until the clay becomes smooth and uniform. Roll it into a ball. Flatten the clay slightly and shape it into a tall triangular Christmas tree. Use a modelling tool to carve slanting grooves across the tree for a decorative striped effect

Make the Base

Shape a small cube from Fevicryl Mouldit and create fine texture lines on all sides. Insert a wooden skewer into the centre of the cube. Insert the other end of the wooden skewer into the bottom of the tree and press gently to secure it. Allow the entire model to dry completely.

Paint the Base

Paint the tree base using colours from the Fevicryl Carnival Pack and let it dry before decorating the tree. Paint each section of the tree in different bright shades using the Fevicryl Carnival Pack, creating colourful striped patterns. Highlight the carved grooves with neat contrasting colours.

Add the Finishing Touch

Attach a star embellishment to the top of each tree and allow the paint to dry completely. You can use readymade ones, or create it using Mouldit.
