3D Loop Butterfly Craft for Friendship Day

Steps to Create this Activity

Draw and Cut the Strips

On an A4 white chart paper, draw 6 strips of equal width in 3 different lengths. Make 2 long, 2 medium and 2 short strips, and draw the body of the butterfly.

Cut the Elements

Carefully cut out all the strips and the body shape. Keep the edges neat and smooth.

Paint the Pieces

Paint the front and back of all the strips and the body using Rangeela Tempera Pastel Colours. Let everything dry completely before assembling.

Create the Wings

Stick the two ends of the shortest strip together using Fevicol Glue Drops to form a loop. Using Fevicol Glue Drops, on one side of the shortest loop stick the medium strip and then stick it to the other side keeping a gap. Redo the same step with the largest loop. Make two such wings.

Assemble the Butterfly

Stick both wings together using Glue Drops. Stick the butterfly body in the centre, then add googly eyes and antennae to finish your craft. You can also add hearts to the top of the antennae. You can now gift this gorgeous butterfly craft to your friends for Friendship Day!
