Step –1

Prepare Bottle Base - Take one or two old plastic bottles that will serve as the base for your lanterns.

Step –2

Cut Bottle Shape - Using scissors or a cutter, carefully cut the plastic bottles, typically in a circular shape from the base, leaving the broad end open at the top (neck of the bottle if upright).

Step –3

Draw Designs - Draw random geometric figures or any desired patterns onto the surface of the cut plastic bottle. Take a Fevicryl Acrylic Black Marker and outline all the drawn designs. This creates clear boundaries for filling out colours.

Step –4

Colour the Designs - Use Fevicryl Acrylic Markers to paint the outlined designs in any color of your choice, aiming for a multicoloured effect. After applying the first layer, allow it to dry completely, then apply a second layer to highlight the colours and make them more vibrant. Once all the paint is dry, you can insert a readymade bulb holder into the open top of the plastic bottle. Light up to transform your decorated bottle into a functional and decorative lantern.
