Prepare the Base

Cut a rectangular base from the corrugated sheet and cover it neatly with white chart paper using Fevicol MR. Cut two long strips from the corrugated sheet to create raised supports.

Make the Sliding Panel

Cut another rectangular panel from the corrugated sheet and cover it with white chart paper using Fevicol MR. Paste the two corrugated strips on the back to create a gap so the panel can slide smoothly over the base.

Create the Activity Cards

Cut rectangular cards from white chart paper for the algebraic expressions and the values of x. Write the equations and answers using Fevicryl Acrylic Markers – Pack of 12. Add colourful borders and patterns around the panel to make the model bright and easy to identify.

Build the Matching Mechanism

Paste the expression cards onto the left side of the sliding panel using Fevicol MR. Fix the paper straws horizontally on the right side of the panel with Fevicol MR, leaving both ends open so the answer cards can slide through.

Assemble the Working Model

Place the completed sliding panel over the prepared base so it moves freely. Insert the answer cards into the paper straw holders and check that each card slides smoothly.

Play and Learn

Slide the answer cards to match each algebraic expression with its correct value of x. Use the model repeatedly to practise solving equations and improve mathematical confidence.
